Let's Play a Board Game!

We are the Mid-Willamette Community Board Gamers — a family-friendly, all-ages tabletop gaming group based in Albany, Oregon. 

Our group began in January 2025 when our founder, Charlie Branson (aka DM Charlie — erstwhile professional Game Master and habitual organizer of all-things gaming), set out to find and connect people to play games with more often. A simple post to local Facebook groups sparked what has since grown into a welcoming, laid-back community for gamers of all experience levels. 

We play all kinds of modern tabletop board games — from familiar classics like Ticket to Ride, Through the Desert, and Viticulture, to brand-new crowdfund titles like Vicious Gardens and Rebirth. You’ll also find card games, social deduction, tile layers, and the entire spectrum of modern board gaming on our tables. Our regular meetups tend toward lighter, more approachable games, but members often gather on other days for deeper, more strategic games like Ark Nova, Brass: Birmingham, and Feast for Odin. 

When & Where We Meet 
We meet every Tuesday from 4:30 PM to around 9:00 PM at Abby's Legendary Pizza, 3033 Santiam Hwy SE in Albany. Other meetups happen at members' homes or at the Santiam Tabletop Wargames Club on Monday nights. Many of our members also attend local conventions, game days, and other gaming events throughout the Willamette Valley.

Whether you're brand new to board games, looking to make friends, or a seasoned gamer seeking a regular group — there's a seat at the table for you. Our weekly meetups are always family-friendly and open to all ages. No membership, sign-ups, or experience required — just show up and play!
