Welcome! Here’s how we keep Cascadia Con fun, safe, and friendly for all:
We’re all here because we love games and community. These guidelines are about keeping the event fun, safe, and welcoming for everyone.
Respect & Conduct
• We invite you to… be kind, courteous, and respectful to everyone you meet—vendors, volunteers, and fellow gamers alike.
• We invite you to… enjoy yourself in a family-friendly way. Keep language, clothing, and displays appropriate for all ages.
• We don’t do… harassment, intimidation, or behavior that makes others uncomfortable. If someone asks you to stop, stop.
• We don’t do… ignoring volunteers or staff—please follow their directions so the event runs smoothly.
Safety & Security
• We invite you to… keep aisles, doors, and exits clear so everyone can move safely.
•We invite you to… supervise kids under 12 so they can enjoy the day too.
•We don’t do… smoking, vaping, or drinking alcohol anywhere on the property.
•We don’t do… breaking laws. Illegal activity isn’t welcome here.
What’s for Sale
• We invite you to… bring your tabletop board games, miniature war games, dice, terrain, and related hobby items.
•We don’t do… collectible card games (Pokémon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh), Funko Pops, comics, video games or systems, or general collectibles.
•We don’t do… counterfeit or unlicensed products, weapons or replicas, or anything unsafe.
Vendors & Auction
• We invite you to… bring your own tables, chairs, and canopy for your parking-space-sized vendor spot.
• We invite you to… check in auction items by 1:30 PM for the 3:00 PM cash-only auction.
• We don’t do… disputes or responsibility for lost items—the buying and selling is between you and your customers.
Playing Games Indoors
• We invite you to… share tables and welcome new players when you can.
• We invite you to… ask before joining a game, and handle other people’s games with care.
• We don’t do… hogging space—please make room for others.
• We don’t do… shouting matches—keep excitement fun without overwhelming the room.
Photos & Media
• We invite you to… snap photos and videos of your games, and ask before photographing others.
• We invite you to… smile! Cascadia Con may take pictures or video for promotion. Attending means you’re okay with that.
• We don’t do… posting images of kids without a parent’s okay.
Food & Drink
• We invite you to… grab a bite from our food vendor during swap hours, or bring your own snacks and non-alcoholic drinks.
• We don’t do… alcohol on site.
Reporting Issues
• We invite you to… come to the info table or a volunteer if something doesn’t feel right.
• We don’t do… looking the other way when problems arise—help us keep this event safe.
The Spirit of Cascadia Con
We’re a non-profit, community-driven event. Every dollar of profit raised by the Con (not the the money made by sellers) goes back into the church and preschool hosting us. Together, we’re creating a space for games, laughter, and friendship across the Willamette Valley and beyond.
